all inspired up and no time to go

i've been reading my recent copies of machine knitting monthly  and feeling really inspired to get the machine going again.  not that I can do a quarter of the stuff in the magazine becasue i don't have punch cards or electronics, but i just want to make STUFF!

i'm spending a lot of time on the pattern cutting and i find that the day has gone while i decide where to put a pleat or a dart, and if it's not that it's freecycle, or this place.

i need to manage my time much more effectively as a mother than as a working outside the home mother.  sewing class was great tonight,  i am proud of my collar for the first time ever.  i have been encouraged to hand sew the collar facing,  Mairi would hand sew it.  Mairi is my guru.

Sew, if I want to indulge the new obsession of card making, should I go to the glasgow show at the end of this month and spend all my money on bits and pieces (by which I mean equipment, not embelishments) or wait for the one at ingliston in december?  I will probably make my decision based on whether nor not my friends want to come to any or either of the shows with me.   Enough of us (ie 4) going would make a car journey acceptable too, I think?  But not to glasgow, becasue we could go on the trian, and I never pass up the opportunity to go on a train.

i would be in bed now if Bill wasn't working late.  perhaps I should eat some chocolate.

Why not go on the St Philips bus to the Glasgow show? Maggie will have the details, and it`s usually cheaper than the train. Shonze and I will be going, I think.
